Brown & Bigelow has been working with Yahoo! and Oath since 2005 – a 14-year relationship that has spanned acquisitions and challenges along the way. B&B’s team of experts are trained to support Oath and Yahoo, and have succeeded in creating programs that work. We’ve accomplished great things together – here are a few examples.
In second quarter of 2017, when Verizon acquired Yahoo, they combined assets and brands with AOL and created Oath – an online store for branded merchandise. They needed a new website immediately, and B&B helped them launch their mobile-friendly site in just two weeks.
In 2015, Yahoo wanted to integrate inventory accounting for both online and retail stores, which operated on two separate systems. B&B sourced a new point-of-sale hardware and enterprise software solution, and created an inventory interface that could be accessed by both online and retail. We invested in the hardware and software and licensed the solution to Yahoo to spread the investment over three years to minimize Yahoo’s capital investment.
In 2013, the senior leadership team rewarded all Yahoo Teammates with a $75 gift certificate to the Company Store, and B&B performed. We expanded the amount of fulfillment space dedicated to Yahoo and received and fulfilled over 12,000 orders in six months that were shipped to every Yahoo office in the world.
In 2010 when the Yahoo Small Business platform team was unable to address the issue of sales tax calculation for online store purchases, Brown & Bigelow solved their problem. We programmed an interface between B&B’s order processing system and the website hosted on the Yahoo Small Business platform to provide real time sales tax calculations as part of the check-out procedure for each order. B&B backed up those calculations with monthly reporting to Yahoo’s Finance and Accounting Teams for sales tax remittance.
